About Me
I am currently the Senior Network Engineer for BTS Holdings PLC a Surrey based company who specialise in call logging and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) software. My duties range from the strategic development and implementation of both hardware and software (from asp to windows services), database design and administration to ensuring network security as well as encompassing managerial functions such as reviewing and managing our data and call spend.
My love of computers means that I am lucky enough to enjoy my work, although thankfully for my girlfriend I do have a life outside of work. I enjoy films, reading, nice quiet drinks at the pub with friends, on the more active side I love skiing and play football and badminton weekly - my Gym membership makes me feel good but is sadly not fully used!

Why make a personal website? I'm a computer bod! Seriously, there are in my humble opinion two great things about the net - the ability to share knowledge, and the ability to bring people together. The fact that online shopping beats tramping around through the stores and online gaming provide a very rich experience are added bonuses! As part of my day to day work I come across a lot of various peculiarities and I hope to relay my solutions through the notes from the field section, which accounts for the sharing of knowledge part. The second part - bringing people together, in this digital age it is easy to put photos on the web for all to see and I hope to use my gallery pages as way for my friends and family to access photos from various get togethers.
In putting together this site I have tried to design it to be accessible and compliant with the various W3C standards. In doing so I began to appreciate how hard this, however, I firmly support various institutional efforts to make companies ensure that their sites are accessible and I am working towards ensuring that all new development by my department is compliant.
